WEST SEATTLE HIGH SCHOOL

Welcome to the online home of the West Seattle Monogram Club.

For the past sixty years, former varsity athletes from West Seattle High School have gathered at the West Seattle Golf Course clubhouse for food, fun, and fellowship.

Beyond our quarterly luncheons, we have provided hundreds of college scholarships for deserving varsity athletes from our beloved alma mater.

We welcome all of our classmates who were varsity letter winners at least forty years ago to join us.

History and Purpose:

The Monogram Club was organized in 1965 and has been in continuous operation since then.  Our purposes are:

(1) To establish a scholarship fund to assist qualified West Seattle High School seniors in pursuit of a higher education.

(2) To perpetuate friendships made while in high school in athletic competition.

(3) To reunite members in good fellowship at "Dutch" luncheons on the first Thursdays of February, June, October, and December.

Membership:

Membership in the West Seattle High School Monogram Club is open to any and all varsity athletes who earned their W letters at least forty years ago.  West Seattle coaches with five years of service are also invited to join.  Women athletes are especially encouraged to join the Club, as Title IX was enacted into law in summer 1972 and many more sports were opened to women.

Meetings:

The Monogram Club meets at the West Seattle Golf Course clubhouse on the first Thursday each February, June, October, and December.

Our upcoming meetings in 2026 are February 5,  June 4, October 1, and December 3.  Please RSVP in advance with Dick Sleight.
